SHOWCASE

This is M Razali Ahmad’s original 1/144 Scale Scratchbuilt of the PZL TS-11 Iskra , a Polish Air Force jet trainer . This tiny 1/144 Scale Iskra construction started the project by making the Balsawood wooden forms for all the parts – Wings , fuselage and tailplanes. Then I used the Tamiya Plaplate Plastic sheets to be heated and stretched over the wooden mold. This is necessary to make the “shells” of the copied pattern. The landing gear and wheels were from scrap box. The painting is done to show the Aerobatic Red colors. Decal is frim scrap box. This model take about 3 weeks to complete this , doing bit by bit on available time daily. Historically, the Polish Air Force’s PZL TS-11 Iskra Trainer Aircraft is notable as being the first Poland’s domestically-developed jet aircraft to be produced by Poland, its service for over 50 years as the principal training aircraft of the Polish Air Force, and at the time of its retirement was the oldest jet-propelled aircraft still in service in Poland. On July 27, 2022, after 58 years, the Polish Air Force said goodbye to the “beautifully perfect” Polish PZL TS-11 Iskra training and training aircraft.
