The idea is to represent a scene, where in England, when the GIs embark, it is June 5th. The decor is in two parts, mine and my father’s. This allows us to be autonomous, if one or the other is not available for an exhibition. Which was the case for the photo I posted today. The planes’ propellers are motorized, except for one to show that the engine has been hit. We have a B17 and Spitfire. The guns of the 20 mm Oerlikon, are made in photo-etched. The two landing craft are remote-controlled once removed from the set. It took us about 3 years to get there. All models are at 1/48th scale. We still have vehicles and characters to build and paint.
