This MIG-15 kit was converted to become the Indonesian Air Force double seater airplane, based in Jakarta Kemajoran back in the 1960’s. A Bubble canopy was molded over a wooden form mould. A second cockpit tub was scratchbuilt to fit the 2nd Seat & instrument panel. The addition of the second seat doesn’t make the fuselage longer. The decal markings and indonesian markings stencils were freehand cut and sprayed The MiG-15 was one of the first successful jet fighters to incorporate swept wings to achieve high transonic speeds. In combat over Korea, it outclassed straight-winged jet day fighters, which were largely relegated to ground-attack roles. All Scratchbuilt parts are hand cut. No 3D was used here.
