The Messerschmitt Bf 109E-4 (W.Nr.590) flown by Oblt. Walter Field, 8./JG53. It was shot down by Spitfire and forced to make a belly landing near East Peckham, Kent, on 2 October 1940. The pilot was subsequently captured.
