The Tamiya LaFerrari 1/24 Firstly, thank you for the opportunity to profile one of my builds, very humbling! This kit was an excellent challenge, perhaps the one thing I learnt was complex builds such as this take time. The moment I rush, things do not go well! For me at least, this was not a quick build. The kit is excellent, the fit very good, and I added both the Tamiya carbon fibre decal set and the Tamiya photo etch set. All paints were Tamiya lacquers, the body colour pure red and gloss black, over white primer. All parts cleared with gloss clear, polished with micro mesh and Meguiars automotive products, with a final coat of Tamiya wax (must have!). The carbon fibre decals took time, but laid down well, with the help of micro set and sol, after completion of this build I was done with carbon fibre for some time! The photo etch enhances the various grills and intakes, and required patience and careful application. The tiniest amount of panel line accent was used on the wheels and brake discs. Quite an incredible piece of engineering this kit, and hopefully I achieved the right result.
