SHOWCASE

This diorama is about 20 years old. The original idea was the fairy wheel to be a part of large amusement park with among other attractions. But then I realized that this amusement park required a large amount of space that I didn’t have. So, the main kit is from Faller and called JUPITER Fairies Wheel. It’s about 52cm height and contains 36 coloured wagons. The kit also contains a 15V motor for the movement of the wheel. I’ve added the neon lights for the wheel and illumination lamps for each wagon and a motor. This was an extra kit (Faller 140471). The illumination of the wagons was quite tricky but the result was pretty impressive. Another addition was the crowd. I’ve added sitting people in each wagon (painted by hand) in HO scale. Also used them in the diorama (around the whell) It took me about 6 months to complete it and, if I correct remember, the kit contained about 1200 pieces. The building instructions was terrible but I finally made it. For completing the diorama I used ready made trees, grass, and soil. Some of the figures (person with balloons and the ice cream seller) were already painted and ready made.
