This F6F-5 Hellcat is an airfix kit in 1:24 scale and is an outstanding kit. With over 600 parts and countless steps, this is another kit that’s not for the faint of heart and deserves time and respect. It was my first large scale aircraft after a 35 year break from modelling, but I’d say it was the most enjoyable and testing kit I’ve ever done. As you can see, I’ve added many extra details to the engine bay and the lights and motor. I Even installed instrument lights; whether it had the or not I don’t know; but they do look good regardless.
