SHOWCASE

In short, the story is:
On a training exercise in California in May 1941, a US Marine’s parachute wrapped itself around the DC-2’s tail wheel. He was suspended in mid-air, unable to free himself and with little chance of survival.
On the ground, a Navy pilot and a chief machinist’s mate saw what happened, jumped into a Curtiss SOC, a two-seat, open-cockpit observation biplane, and took off.
They managed to grab the unlucky parachuter hanging below the DC-2, used the biplane’s propeller to cut the shroud lines, and, even if the damaged parachute wrapped itself around the tail, the SOC landed safely. After hanging for 33 minutes between life and death, the unfortunate Marine was finally rescued, hurt, but alive!
I just had to make models and dioramas of this unbelievable story!
I hope you like it!
