Based on the Hobbyboss kit, resin aggregates as well as photo-etchings were made. All scratch work was done for the engine. The openings, although the base are resins, all the wiring, extra boxes and scratch marks were added. The GAU-8 Avenger was made with the base of Eduard’s most photo-etched kit. Work was done on separate fuel tank and pumps. The internal fuel tank, in the fuselage of the plane, was made entirely from scratch.
All the detailing was done with precise information from different bibliography. Tamiya acrylics were used for painting, without preshading, wearing off and weathering with Ammo Mig products. The art of the horn was made with a brush with enamel and blurred with different sets of Mig. The kit in general is very good in relation to others of the same model and scale, with negative paneling and a good level of detail, although a lot of work was needed to adapt the resins to the model.
